Dustin Janssen, DDS

Meet Dr. Dusty

Dustin Janssen, DDS (Dr. Dusty) was born and raised in Shallowater Texas. Growing up in a small town taught him to truly value people, and there aren’t any better people than those that call West Texas home. Being from a small town also taught him that you don’t say something about someone you wouldn’t say to their face. Because of this you can always count on him to keep you informed about your child’s health.

Dusty’s wife, Mindi, is also from Lubbock. They have 3 daughters, Claire, Camille, and Caroline, and one furry daughter named Ginger (she is a dog). Ginger is a Caviler King Charles Spaniel and she loves nothing more than cuddling and licking up the food that is dropped by her sisters. Raising a family of girls has been such a joy. Dr. Dusty feels so blessed to have a career that he can better serve his patients by being a father.

Education and Experience

Following high school in Shallowater, Dr Dusty attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following this he completed 4 years of training at Baylor Dental and received his DDS degree. He returned to Lubbock to practice general dentistry, but soon realized that his true passion and skill was in the treatment of children. After applying to a very competitive specialty of Pediatric Dentistry he was selected to attend the University of Washington’s Pediatric Dental residency. This was an intensive 2 year program where he was able to work with world renowned specialists and hone his clinical skills. As beautiful as the Pacific Northwest was, nothing could compare to the people of Lubbock. Because of this he returned to Lubbock to open his practice to use his skills to provide exceptional care to the children of West Texas.

Dr. Dusty with his family

Dr Dusty is very passionate about faith, family, and overall health. His faith plays an important role in all areas of his life. He believes that all children deserve to be loved and cared for. At our office family comes first. From all our staff, to all our patients, all that we do at Parkview Pediatric Dentistry is centered around family.

When he isn’t working or playing at home with his family he enjoys running, working out and playing golf.

Molly Lopez-Cepero, DDS

Meet Dr. Molly

Dr. Molly Lopez-Cepero (Dr. Molly) joined our practice in August 2016. Previously, she practiced in Nashville, TN, but grew up in Lambertville, MI. Dr. Molly loves the small town feel where she grew up and is reminded of that here in Lubbock, TX. After a successful high school academic and soccer career, she continued on to Spring Arbor University to pursue soccer and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology. She attended The Ohio State University Dental School where she completed research with some foremost in the pediatric dental community. She completed her pediatric residency at The University of Rochester in New York.

Dr. Molly met her loving husband, David, at a summer soccer ministry called “On Goal.” She is an avid dog lover and even completed research projects on the calming effect of dogs in a dental office. Dr. Molly and David have two sweet boys, Liam and Declan, and two wonderful dogs, Kiko (Shepherd Mix) and Zeke (Beauceron). Dr. Molly completed a rigorous training program with both Kiko and Zeke to become certified therapy dogs. Dr. Molly loves to volunteer with her therapy dogs to bring joy to others. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys soccer, running, cycling, exercising, and reading.

Throughout the years of traveling to complete her schooling, Dr. Molly has enjoyed the relationships developed in each city. She loves to connect with people and values each person uniquely created by God for a purpose.

Education and Experience

Dr. Molly completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Spring Arbor University. While there she played soccer and it taught her how to work hard to manage time to have a successful academic and soccer career. She spent her final semester in Brazil working at a hospital, teaching English to a local community, and playing soccer for Santos.

Dr. Molly then earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University where she learned from and did research projects with world-renowned and respected pediatric dentists. She is very thankful for her faculty that fanned the spark she had for pediatric dentistry.

That spark turned into a flame when Dr. Molly was accepted to the extremely competitive Pediatric Dental Residency program at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health. She had the opportunity to learn about how to help multiple medically compromised children, children with craniofacial anomalies, practice her skill of behavior management techniques, along with many other helpful pediatric dental skills. While at the University of Rochester Dr. Molly completed her research in therapy dogs in the dental office and the ability a therapy dog has to help decrease anxiety of children during visits. She is passionate about this and excited to bring this to Parkview. Dr. Molly is proud to be a board certified pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Molly with her family

Dr. Molly and her husband David moved to Nashville, TN where she practiced dentistry before moving to Lubbock, TX. She was drawn to Lubbock because of the unique environment Parkview has to provide exceptional care for God’s children. Although far from Michigan, Dr. Molly is proud to call Lubbock, TX home.
